Location: London Borough of Barnet
Contract Type: Interim (3 months), with potential for extension
Working Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:15)
Pay Rate: £35 to £37 per hour (umbrella)

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join a committed team in the London Borough of Barnet. This role involves undertaking complex social work with children, their families, and wider support systems. The position offers hybrid working arrangements, requiring 1-2 days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality social work as part of a multi-professional team, acting as the lead professional for families caring for adolescents.
- Work with children and young people presenting a range of needs, including those affected by child sexual exploitation, serious youth violence, group offending, and instances of going missing from home.
- Build the resilience of children, young people, and their families by using evidence-based approaches to achieve sustained change.
- Utilize the direction, support, and guidance of your line manager and the multi-professional team to effectively manage complexities of risk and ambiguity presented by families.
- Establish rapport and build respectful relationships with children, young people, and their families, accurately obtaining and recording their views.
Essential Requirements:
- Professional qualification in Social Work (Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience within a similar team.
- Experience working with children and families in various settings, including high-risk/high-vulnerability adolescents.
- Experience in statutory work, including Child Protection.
- Completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) accreditation.
- Training in relevant areas such as the Children Act, Child Protection Work, Direct Work with Children, Assessment Skills, and Integrated Children’s System.
