About the Role
As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner/Emergency Practitioner, you’ll play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients presenting with minor injuries across all age ranges. You’ll work within a vibrant multi-disciplinary team alongside pharmacists, paramedics, advanced clinical practitioners, and more. Every day offers variety, including face-to-face and telephone assessment appointments, where you’ll be empowered to act as an independent practitioner, supported by clinical team leaders and robust CPD opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Autonomous Care: Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients with minor illnesses and injuries.
- X-Ray Interpretation: Confidently interpret adult and paediatric limb X-rays to diagnose musculoskeletal injuries.
- Collaboration: Work closely with primary and secondary care teams, acting as a referral agent for specialist care.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Ensure patient care is informed by the latest clinical guidelines and research.
- Professional Development: Mentor colleagues, contribute to audits, and participate in research to drive service improvement.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking passionate professionals with:
- Essential Qualifications: NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Paramedic with relevant Emergency Care training.
- Experience: Proven track record as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner or equivalent, including X-ray interpretation skills and prescribing experience.
- Skills: Strong communication, independence, and knowledge of current clinical practices.
- Desirable Traits: Flexibility in work hours and locations, experience in change management, and a commitment to continuous development.
- DBS Check: Enhanced with Child & Adult Workforce
- Vaccination: Hepatitis B immunisation
