Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist (Corneal Specialist with Cataract Experience)
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialist focus in Corneal care and Cataract surgery to join our dynamic team on a locum basis. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a busy, well-equipped hospital, providing essential services in both clinic and theatre settings.
Key Details:
- Specialty: Corneal Consultant with extensive Cataract experience
- Role: Covering day shifts (clinics and theatres) and participating in an on-call rota
- Availability: 3 or 4 days per week
- Type: Locum position
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality patient care in corneal and cataract clinics.
- Performing cataract surgeries and other corneal procedures as needed.
- Contributing to the on-call rota, providing expertise in urgent cases.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Substantial experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist, with proven expertise in corneal and cataract care.
- Ability to work effectively in both clinics and theatre settings.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
