Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist (Corneal Specialist with Cataract Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialist focus in Corneal care and Cataract surgery to join our dynamic team on a locum basis. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a busy, well-equipped hospital, providing essential services in both clinic and theatre settings.

Key Details:

  • Specialty: Corneal Consultant with extensive Cataract experience
  • Role: Covering day shifts (clinics and theatres) and participating in an on-call rota
  • Availability: 3 or 4 days per week
  • Type: Locum position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care in corneal and cataract clinics.
  • Performing cataract surgeries and other corneal procedures as needed.
  • Contributing to the on-call rota, providing expertise in urgent cases.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • Substantial experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist, with proven expertise in corneal and cataract care.
  • Ability to work effectively in both clinics and theatre settings.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
