We are actively recruiting for a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist for a new full-time role in Kent. This position has been created to enhance medical capacity and ensure high-quality care for children and adolescents in the area. The role offers a stimulating mix of clinical duties and professional activities, with excellent support from a dedicated multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- 10 Programmed Activities (PAs):
- 7.5 Direct Clinical Contact (DCC)
- 2.5 Supporting Professional Activities (SPA)
- On-Call Responsibilities:
- Participate in a 1:14 on-call rota with Category A 3% remuneration.
- Provide telephone advice to the crisis team covering community cases, with occasional in-person attendance if clinically necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
- MRCPsych or equivalent
- Section 12 Approval or eligibility
- Approved Clinician status or eligibility
- Inclusion in or within 6 months of obtaining Specialist Register (CCST)
Ideal Candidate:
- Expertise in managing a broad range of mental disorders.
- Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and using interpreters.
- Mastery of theoretical and clinical approaches.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to provide medical leadership within a multi-disciplinary team.
