Job Title: Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine
Location: Cumbria
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 Months (Potential Extension)
Rota: Full Rota Including On-Calls (50% rate for Non-Resident On-Calls)

Austin Dean Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine to work in Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity for a consultant who is ready to make an immediate impact on patient care in a beautiful part of the country. The role offers a full rota, including on-calls, ensuring both a variety of cases and a balanced workload.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage acute medical care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure high standards of care across all patient interactions.
• Participate in the on-call rota (non-resident, compensated at 50% of the standard rate).
• Supervise and support junior doctors and clinical staff.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless patient care pathways.

Requirements:

• Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
• CCT in Acute Medicine or relevant equivalent qualification.
• Significant post-qualification experience in Acute Medicine.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team and lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Recent DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
• Right to work in the UK.
